Support CoolingMan 2008
There are two ways to help CoolingMan 2008 reduce or offset ~27,000 tons of greenhouse gases. You may donate to help CoolingMan fund offsets and artwork. You can also volunteer or take direct action to reduce your own emissions on the playa or at home.
Donate to CoolingMan
Your donations help CoolingMan acquire greenhouse gas offsets. If 70% of Burning Man participants each helped acquire one ton of offsets, Black Rock City could become the first “carbon-negative” city in the world.
CoolingMan suggests a donation of $10 per ton offset, with any difference to actual offset cost applied to additional offsets, climate artwork or CoolingMan operations.
You may also donate directly to help fund artworks and operations. CoolingMan is a project of the Trust for Conservation Innovation (TCI), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Donations to TCI/CoolingMan are tax deductible.
Report greenhouse gas reductions and offsets
Please report any actions you’ve taken to support CoolingMan by reducing your emissions or offsetting greenhouse gas emissions witn an offset provider or tree planting organization.
